3D Shooter-Platformer Game made in Unity

Summary
The backstory of the game is set in a world without humans and only robots. You play as Rust Bucket, an old construction robot, that is basically forgotten. The world is almost ruled by S.P.A.M Co, an evil corporation, that is aiming for total control and monopoly. It is up to you to bring this corporation down to its knees. The CEO, Gentry Spammington and his megalomania must be stopped. You will have to infiltrate the S.P.A.M Co HQ, bring down their security system that includes tanky huge bots, flying turrets and ceiling turrets.

The gameplay mechanics include the player movement, dash, jump, hover, weapon wheel to select between 4 different weapons and 2 super weapons. The different weapons include a regular nail gun, a chain lightning gun, explosive barrel dropper and a grenade launcher. The super weapons include a homing rocket launcher and a flamethrowers.

The enemies include flying turrets, floor and stationary turrets and a big beefy tank bot. The enemy mechanics are patrolling between established nodes, chase the player when in range, shoot at the player. The tank bot on the other hand is a lot more smarter as its brain is fitted with a simple behaviour tree that can attack the player when health is high, run for cover and repair themselves when their health is low and when their health is very low they will charge at the player and explode.

Simple UI art was created using Adobe XD and Photoshop like the scroll icon, health icon, mana potion icon, experience counter icon and some elements of the HUD.

The technical art contributions include enemy hover effects, player projectiles, impact effects, muzzle effects, player dash effect etc. Use of Unity's VFX graph system and Shader graphs to capture the cartoon-type effects.

The website was also worked on to capture the progress of the development process. Included interactable 3D models to showcase the hard efforts of the artists and screenshots of concept arts to where it is currently shows the entire journey of the team's contributions.

The game is still in development.
